Wedding photographer accused of probation violation

SALEM, N.H. -
A woman who pleaded guilty to not providing wedding pictures to more than 100 customers will be spending two days in jail

Darlene Perrotta appeared in court Thursday on a probation violation.

She failed to sign a restitution form provided to her by the Probation Department, prosecutors said. She has since signed the document.

Perrotta and her husband owned the photography studio Forever in Time in Salem.

Prosecutors said she owes more than $4,000 in restitution, but defense lawyers dispute that number.

She was sentenced to the short jail sentence on Thursday for violating the conditions of her probation.

Assistant Attorney General Jim Boffetti said, “We take this very seriously, brides who are denied pictures. They contracted with this company to provide services. They didn't, and that is just plain fraud."

Prosecutors said Perrotta is paying $5 a month as part of the probation agreement, and there will be a restitution hearing scheduled in the future.
