Wedding Photography vs Wedding Videography

A few weeks ago, a wedding photographer posted an article on their blog, deriding wedding videography, and broadly painting videographers as intrusive and unnecessary. They suggested that the presence of a videographer at the wedding would compromise their photography coverage and strict artistic and journalistic process. Naturally, wedding video professionals were angry.
After getting what I can only assume was a torrent of email feedback (they closed the comments on their blog),the blog post was re-written to be less inflammatory. You can download a PDF copy of the original post here for comparison.
Less interesting than the re-write (essentially a retraction), were a few well-written responses from some in the wedding video community. Check out a great response over at Shoot Edit Learn, and also one from Ron Dawson.
