Nice day for a wet wedding

WATER happy couple newlyweds Sarah Longland and Mark Camilletti make — braving their wedding venue’s flooded lawn to pose for photos despite getting themselves soaked.

The pair, from north London, were determined not to let the bad weather scupper their hopes of a traditional photo out on the green of their hotel in Cambridge.
So brave Sarah, 29, donned a pair of wellies and hitched up her wedding dress to pose for snaps with her new hubby, family and friends in the 18-inch deep floodwaters.
She then perched on a bench so she could lower her dress while Mark, 34, stood in the water beside her for their photographs at the Hotel Felix.
And best man James Buckley took off his shoes and socks and rolled up his trousers to join the couple for the soggy photoshoot.
Sarah and Mark of Bowes Park, north London, had been due to have their civil marriage ceremony in an outdoor gazebo at the four star boutique hotel last Saturday.

Civil servant Mark said: “We arranged the wedding at the hotel 18-months-ago and were hoping that it would be a glorious day in mid-July.
“With the terrible summer we were having we were keeping an eye on the weather forecast and realised it was going to be wet on our big day.
“We were resigned to the ceremony probably having to be inside the hotel. However, we still wanted to do pictures outside so we told everyone to bring along wellington boots and umbrellas.”
Wife Sarah added: “It was quite funny when they were arriving in the morning and some of the guests thought there was a lovely lake in the garden.
“But when they saw the tables and chairs poking out of the middle they realised it wasn’t a lake and that was where we were supposed to have the wedding.”
Wedding photographer Mike Thornton, 30, of Cambridge-based Stillvision Photography, said: “These are the most unusual wedding pictures I have ever done.”
