Wedding photographers strive to tell the story

Wedding photographers strive to tell the story

DESTIN — Pure 7 Studio wedding photographers are in the business of telling the special story of a wedding.
“We don’t do a lot of posing or directing with our wedding photography,” said photographer Lindsey Bray. “We allow couples’ emotions to come through the photography by capturing how they interact with each other.”

“Weddings are just big parties in the end, and it’s a big happy day that we love to celebrate with our clients.”
The studio offers boutique wedding and portrait photography serving primarily the Emerald Coast, but photographers will travel to a cli-ent’s destination, trekking everywhere from 30A to New Orleans.
Ryan Manthey, owner and lead photographer, opened Pure 7 Studio in 2008 after he discovered a talent for capturing tender moments.
“After our daughter was born, my wife bought me a digital single-lens reflex camera, and I started taking photographs of our daughter,” Manthey said. “I then started taking pictures of friends and family for free, until one day it hit me that I could make money off of this. It all snowballed from there.”
Bray, who has worked at the studio for two years, said her favorite aspect of her job is the relationships she builds.
“I love photography, and I love the opportunity it gives me to work with clients directly,” she said. “No day or client is ever the same. I am a people person.”
Pure 7 Studio indulges clients with an array of services. A high-resolution digital negative disc containing unlimited images featuring the distinctive and fully retouched “Pure7” or “basic” edit, which is performed in the studio, is offered.
From this disc, clients can choose which images they want to appear in their final album design. Images can be purchased in wall portrait or canvas form. Coffee Table Books and Mount Flush Albums can be also purchased.
An online proofing gallery and album proofs are available to clients within 3 to 4 weeks after their wedding.
Unselective clients fear not—Pure 7 Studio creates album layouts using their own professional collection of favorites, making the task of photograph selection easier.
Bray said that each photograph is treated as an individual.
“We don’t apply the same editing technique to every photograph,” she said. “We aren’t traditional, and we try to be more artistic in our approach to editing.”
Pure 7 Studio takes their story telling responsibilities seriously, wanting to capture the most special moments of the couple’s happiest day.
“There’s something to be said about being a part of the day a couple is united in marriage, being able to share that special day with our clients is an honor,” Bray said.
