Colby McLemore Is Featured Speaker At Photographic Society July Meeting

Colby McLemore will be the featured speaker at the July 19 meeting of the Photographic Society of Chattanooga.


Mr. McLemore is a Knoxville-based professional photographer whose award-winning work revolves around commercial, portrait, and wedding photography. His commercial work includes architectural, product, food, industrial and corporate event photography. His portraits include executive, staff, family, high-school senior, children’s, and newborn photography. He photographs local and regional weddings and is also available for destination weddings.
 
He has worked with clients such as ABC’s Extreme Makeover, The Learning Channel’s 18 Kids and Counting (Colby appeared in at least two of the episodes), the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, Web School of Knoxville, Bohan Ideas, A3 Creative Group, Marketing Dimensions, At Large Graphic Design, Atmosphere Pictures, Globe-Pequot Press, Family Fun, Primary Color, Points North, Cityview, Knoxville Magazine, and others.
His images have graced national as well as regional and local magazines and newspapers, corporate websites, brochures and annual reports, various print and digital ads, books and now even a smartphone app! Colby has also photographed for TV shows, celebrities, and government officials and politicians.
In 2011, he was named Photographer of the Year by both Tennessee’s Professional Photographer Association (TNPPA) and Professional Photographers of East Tennessee (PPETN).  In the same year, Colby was also awarded the Kodak Gallery Award, the Presidential Award, and many others.
Mr. McLemore is also an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) and teaches food, architecture, portrait retouching and many other topics at the University of Tennessee. Regarding Colby's infectious enthusiasm, one of his students said: "Colby creates an environment where learning is fun and classes speed by."
